MP4200

The MP4200 helps accelerate transaction time at the Point of Sale. While the USB interface is aligned with current industry standards, the second, optional interface enables the unit to comply with traditional standards (RS232), or with Ethernet and Wi-Fi for special applications. This flexibility allows retailers to keep this thermal printer in pace with the Point of Sale System throughout the product life cycle, simply by changing the interface.

The MP4200 is built with Bematech’s’ Easy Recovery System (ERS) that enhances reliability and Modular Cartridge System (MCS) that makes the unit easy to repair and minimizes down-time. If a paper jam occurs, ERS restores the printer’s functionality simply by lifting the printer cover, then lifting and putting back the paper roll. MCS holds all the electronic parts of the printer, allowing for the change of either the mechanism or the cartridge to be completed in store in a few minutes. These features optimize the ease of service and reduce the costs of printer down-time and maintenance. The MP4200 housing is designed with an easy to clean, non-fading material which makes it ideal for demanding environments.

The wide range of MP4200 software tools makes it one of the easiest printers to integrate with commercial applications. To allow a quick and easy installation in any environment, the MP4200 thermal printer offers a wide range of Point of Sale protocols, such as OPOS, spooler drivers for either Windows or Linux (CUPS). Furthermore the USB interface presents itself to the host system as a virtual COMM port, allowing legacy software to use it with almost zero effort. Local area network users may also take advantage of Ethernet interface by using the embedded LPD printer server.
